Luis Galeano

Chief Information & Technology Officer

Luis Galeano serves as the Chief Information & Technology Officer of Medical Accounts Systems, where he oversees the company's information systems, technology infrastructure, cybersecurity initiatives, operational data management, and healthcare accounts receivable analytics across MAS's national client portfolio.

With more than 16 years of experience working alongside the attorneys, operational leadership, and revenue cycle professionals at MAS and Abril Law, Luis has played a central role in the company's operational evolution into a sophisticated, attorney driven healthcare revenue cycle organization. His leadership combines operational oversight, advanced technology integration, compliance management, and data-driven revenue cycle analysis to support healthcare providers throughout the United States.

Luis is responsible for the management and oversight of MAS's healthcare accounts receivable inventory across all client engagements, including acute care facilities, rehabilitation hospitals, critical access hospitals, laboratories, physician groups, and other healthcare providers. He works closely with MAS leadership to monitor account performance, identify reimbursement trends, segment receivables portfolios, and analyze recurring denial patterns and payer behaviors across commercial, governmental, workers' compensation, and third-party liability claims.

A significant component of Luis's role involves cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and data protection. He oversees MAS's cybersecurity infrastructure utilizing NIST-aligned healthcare cybersecurity protocols and enterprise-level security measures designed to safeguard sensitive healthcare and financial information. Luis also supervises the company's HIPAA compliance initiatives and operational procedures to ensure that all protected health information (PHI), patient communications, and self-pay collection efforts remain compliant with applicable federal regulations and industry standards.

Luis's operational and technical expertise has helped MAS implement scalable workflows and advanced reporting systems that allow the organization to evaluate performance metrics, forecast trends, optimize recovery strategies, and identify operational inefficiencies across large and complex accounts receivable inventories. His experience includes oversight and integration of state-of-the-art telephony systems, accounts receivable management platforms, and industry-leading electronic health record systems including Epic, Cerner, Meditech, McKesson, athenahealth, Allscripts, eClinicalWorks, IDX, and other major healthcare technologies.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Luis successfully designed and implemented MAS's business continuity and remote operations infrastructure, enabling the company to transition seamlessly to a fully remote operational environment without disruption to client services, productivity, compliance, or operational accountability.

Luis earned his Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Franklin College in Indiana. His educational background, combined with years of operational leadership within the healthcare revenue cycle industry, provides him with a unique perspective on organizational behavior, communication strategies, and technology-driven operational management within the healthcare space.
